After Anwar-ul-Uloom College Wakf Board getting ready to take action against Madina Education Society

Hyderabad: Telangana State Wakf Board is getting ready to take over the management of educational institutions functioning under Madina Education Society.

Talking to newsmen yesterday, Chairman of Wakf Board, Mr. Mohammed Saleem told that all the buildings of Madina Education Society are wakf properties. Wakf Board had initiated to take over these institutions under its control two years back but due to unknown reasons, its control was not taken as a result of which the same management is continuing. He further told that very soon, Wakf Board will take over these educational institutions and the wakf buildings.

It may be mentioned that all the educational institutions run by Madina Educational Society come under Wakf Board. Wakf Fund is not being paid regularly. Mr. Saleem further told that he would take action to protect important wakf properties in the city without accepting pressure from any important personality.

It may be mentioned that Wakf Board earlier, had issued notice for taking over Anwar-ul-Uloom colleges under its control.
About the tenure of office of Dargah Yousufain’s Mutawalli, Mr. Saleem said that his will end this month. A decision would be taken about its extension in the next meeting of the board.

Mr. Saleem informed that from Tuesday, the officials of Wakf Board would camp at Nabi Khana Maulvi Akbar, Pathergatti to collect the arrears of rent of 700 shops. He further told that if need be police help would be sought. He said that on account of special campaign, Wakf Board collected Rs. 56 lakh which is not sufficient to meet its expenses. He also told that during his tenure of office as Chairman of Wakf Board, Rs. 35 crore was in the treasury of the board.

He expressed his plan to launch various welfare activities after the enhancement of the income of Wakf Board such as free distribution of notebook to poor students, pension to widows and financial assistance for medical treatment. He proposes to establish a hospital where free treatment would be given to poor persons.
