AP to construct Haj House at Vijaywada

Andhra Pradesh Minorities Welfare Minister Palle Raghunath Reddy flagged off the Haj pilgrims from AP early this morning at Haj House in Nampally.

Speaking to the pilgrims on this occasion, the minister conveyed greeting from the Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu to the Haj pilgrims and announced that a decision has been taken by the AP Government to construct a prestigious Haj House at Vijaywada at four acres of land so that the Haj pilgrims of the state may proceed on the sacred journey from there. He said that the present Haj House Building was constructed by Chandrababu Naidu and keeping the difficulties here he has decided to build a new building on sprawling four acres of land. He said that Chief Minister has a special concern for the progress and development of minorities whom he gives an important place.

The Chief Minister has formulated several innovative schemes for minorities, which are unparalleled in the country’, the Minister said and added that the Chief Minister had launched a gift package for the Muslim community during recent Ramazn festival.

MLC Mohammed Ahmed Shareef appreciated the efforts of the Telangana State Haj Committee and said that despite a paucity of space arrangements have been made to accommodate more number of pilgrims. He advised the pilgrims not to waste their precious time in trivial matters during this sacred journey.

Special Secretary to Government Shaik Mohammed Iqbal lauded the efforts of Prof. S. A. Shukoor, the Special Officer Telangana State Haj Committee and his team for making impressive arrangements.

Prof. Shukoor advised the pilgrims to demonstrate patience and restraint during this journey and never show haste in any matter. He said that 2367 pilgrims from AP are proceeding for Haj this year, out of which 1020 have left today and the remaining will leave on 6th September through three more flights. (INN)
