AP govt. to implement 5-day week

Secretariat staff and other employees will have 5-day week in Amravati (Andhra Pradesh), this year. ‘Five-day week’ will be implemented for them from June 15, once they get shifted from Hyderabad to the ‘Interim Government Complex’ being built at Velagapudi in the Amaravati capital region.

This was decided in a review meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada. The review meeting was regarding Capital Region Development Authority. It has been decided to provide bus service to staff to reach new capital. Staff of Secretariat and chiefs of the department will be shifted from June to August in 3 phases.
