Hyderabad: Government of Andhra Pradesh is seriously mulling over scrapping of EAMCET, conducted for admission into professional colleges, from the year 2018.
Government of Andhra Pradesh plans to review the matter with special committee before taking any decision in this regard. According to highly placed sources, the AP government is preparing to give admission into Engineering and Medicine on the basis of marks obtained in intermediate on merit basis.
Meanwhile Human Resource Development Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. G Srinivas Rao told that Andhra Pradesh government does not have any plan to scrap EAMCET; however according to concerned higher officials, government of Andhra Pradesh is keen to scrap EAMCET.
