AP reviews operational & financial performance of all Power Utilities

In order to accelerate the implementation of various developmental works in Energy Sector, in tune with the objectives of the State Govt. and to place the functioning of the sector from Amaravathi/Vijayawada   on track, post complete shifting of the State Govt. administration to AP Geography,  Ajay Jain, Principal Secretary, Energy I&I, CRDA has taken up a critical review of the operational and financial performance of all Power Utilities in the State, Viz. APTRANSCO, AP GENCO, and APDISCOMs, with the concerned Chairman and Managing Directors and other senior officials.

           

During a review meeting Ajay Jain has stressed the need to implement National “Urja Mitra” program in two DISCOMs in AP in complete shape by the end of next month, wherein all the affected consumers on account of planned/scheduled outages be given prior intimation by means of an SMS, so as to make the consumers prepared for such inconvenience, as part of consumer service. It has been decided in the previous Power Ministers’ Conference held in Vadodara to set up a National-level dashboard to review the progress in “Urja Mitra” program on a real time basis. The State Govt. has decided to conduct the next Power Ministers’ conference in Visakhapatnam.

          

  K. Vijayanand and Dinesh Parchuri have disclosed that the subscriptions to the Bonds issued by the State. Govt as part of its commitment in   UDAY scheme are encouraging and against a target of Rs 8,256.01 cr, an amount of Rs 7,376 cr has been subscribed with low interest rates.
