Arjun Rampal’s ‘Daddy’ gets postponed again, to release on September 8

New Delhi [India]: The release of Arjun Rampal’s much-awaited movie ‘Daddy’ in which he will be essaying the role of mafia don Arun Gawli, has once again been postponed.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on Twitter, tweeting, “#Daddy, which was scheduled for release on 21 July, will now release on 8 Sept 2017… Stars Arjun Rampal… Directed by Ashim Ahluwalia.”

The film narrates the life tale of the gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli exclusively. Farhan Akhtar essays the role of Dawood Ibrahim in the upcoming movie. Arjun essays the key role and has co-written the script along with others and is a co-producer too.
The two-and-a-half minute trailer, which was released last month recreates Mumbai of the 1970s and leaves fans enthralled as it gives a sneak peek into the journey of gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli.

The film also stars also stars Farhan Akhtar and Aishwarya Rajesh. (ANI)
