Arkansas, US: At least 17 injured in a nightclub shooting

Arkansas: 17 people got injured as the gunmen open fired in a nightclub in Little Rock in the early hours on Saturday due to a dispute, police said. The police Chief officers suspected multiple people fired guns and that the incident was not terror-related.

The shooting happened at the Power Ultra Lounge, which is in a two-story building about a mile east of the state capitol. Police cordoned off the area as crime-scene technicians gathered evidence inside and outside the club.

“We do not believe this incident was an active shooter or terror-related incident,” the city police posted on its Twitter account overnight. “It appears to have been a dispute at a concert,” The Guardian reports.

“One is too many. Seventeen is very alarming and certainly disturbing,” Little Rock police Chief Kenton Buckner told reporters. He said “some sort of dispute broke out between people inside” the club and that there were “probably multiple shooting suspects”.

However, police later informed via Twitter that all victims were stable.
