New Delhi: Congress on Tuesday expressed concerns over the attempts by some “miscreants” to create communal tension in Sunderbani area of Rajouri by grievously injuring some cows
on the eve of Shri Budha Amarmnath Yatra and demanded their immediate arrest.
“We express serious concern over the attempts by some miscreants to create communal tension in Sunderbani area by causing grievous injuries to cows, on the eve of Shri Budha
Amarmnath Yatra,” Chief Spokesperson J&K Congress, Ravinder Sharma said.
Terming the act as a “deliberate attempt” to disturb peace and religious harmony with a view to disturb the Yatra, as Sunderbani is gateway to Rajouri-Poonch and first stop of this
holy Yatra after Jammu, he said he had the matter with higher authorities of civil and police administration and urged them to take the issue very seriously and identify and arrest the
culprits behind this, at the earliest.
