Arrests of Pakhtun, Baloch people damaging Pakistan’s solidarity: Jamaat-i-Islami chief

Islamabad [Pakistan]: Jamaat-i-Islami emir Senator Sirajul Haq has condemned the arrest of Pakhtun and the Baloch people in Punjab and Sindh under the cover of investigation and urged the governments of both provinces to take immediate notice of this unjustified harassment.

Sirajul said such steps were damaging the country’s solidarity.

He made these remarks during a Pakhtun Jirga at Mansoora which was attended by Pakhtun Ittehad Movement chief Farooq Khan, Arshad Khan from Buner, Badar Khan from Mahmand Agency and Anjuman-i-Tajiran Balochisitan Secretary General Akbar Khan.

He said the country by maintaining complete national unity and harmony could challenge its enemies who are trying to plunge this nation into regional, racial and ethnic divide and undermine its unity. (ANI)
