Arunachal Govt, central forces working to locate missing chopper: Rijiju

New Delhi, Aug. 7 : Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju on Friday said that the Arunachal Pradesh Government and the central forces have been put into a search operation to trace the location of the missing chopper carrying Deputy Commissioner of Tirap District, Kamlesh Joshi, and two pilots.

“I am very upset and sad that for the last four days we have been unable to trace missing chopper which was carrying the Deputy Commissioner and two pilots. We’ve used all our resources at our command, state government and central forces have been put into search operation. I’ am hopeful that we will be able to trace location of missing chopper,” said Rijiju.

The chopper was carrying the Deputy Commissioner of Tirap District, Kamlesh Joshi, and two pilots.

The chopper flew out of Khonsa and was to reach Changlang in eastern Arunachal Pradesh and near the state’s border with Myanmar via Longding. (ANI)
