Asiya Andrabi’s house raided in Srinagar

Srinagar: Chief of radical women’s outfit Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Asiya Andrabi’s residence was raided by the police on Thursday here.

This move came after the Jammu and Kashmir government decided to put the Kashmiri Separatist leaders, who were invited by Pakistan to meet its National Security Advisor Sartaj Aziz when he comes to India for the NSA-level talks, under house arrest.

Separatists Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Syed Ali Shah Geelani were placed under house arrest and Yasin Malik was arrested.

Last July, India called off talks after Pakistan consulted Kashmiri separatists before a meeting of Foreign Secretaries, but this time India has decided to go ahead with the talks.
