Assembly will expose Cong, TD misdeeds: Talasani

Accusing the Congress and Telugu Desam parties of hampering development of Telangana and people’s welfare, Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today warned that the State government would throw them behind bars if they continue to stall the works for cheap politics.

Addressing mediapersons at Secretariat on Thursday, Talasani said K Chandrasekhar Rao was only Chief Minister in the country without any scar of corruption and allegations. He charged that the Congress and the Telugu Desam leaders had looted the nation for decades and now trying to blame others. He lashed out at the Congress and the TD for trying to tarnish the image of the government which will expose all the misdeeds, alleged corruption and irregularities during Monsoon session of Assembly likely to be conducted next month.

Expressing displeasure at the persistent criticism, he challenged the Congress to impress upon AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi to direct Karnataka Government under Congress rule to stop irrigation project that hampers Telangana irrigation interests if they have guts. Taken by surprise to know about the big fish involved in Indiramma Housing scam, he said, “We could not understand whom to arrest”. He was vocal at the Opposition for crying foul on the unabated implementation of welfare schemes.

“It is our government and we will take any decision for the cause of the people like redesigning of Pranahitha-Chevella project, replacing Osmania General Hospital and shifting of Secretariat and others. “The Congress does not want a new hospital in the place of dilapidated Osmania Generl Hospital”, he charged. He slammed the Opposition parties for raising objections to all the welfare plans of the government.

The minister claimed that Grama Jyothi was meant for all-round development of the villages and the government was offering pensions to eligible, fine rice to hostels, construction of two bedroom houses to the poor. When asked, he said he was always ready for Sanath Nagar bypoll and the TRS will win in the forthcoming GHMC elections. “Our efforts to cater to the needs of 1.42 crore people in GHMC area will bear fruit”, he added.
