ASSOCHAM launches Madrid Chapter to boost bilateral trade ties with Spain

New Delhi : Industry body ASSOCHAM has launched India-Spain Business Promotion Council to deepen the trade and investment relationship between the two countries, and build on a long-standing partnership.

“This is the first, and only permanent representation office of an apex Indian trade and industry body in Spain, and promises to be an excellent information, support and facilitation platform, for Spanish and Indian companies and institutions alike, desirous of active commercial and institutional engagement with each other,” said ASSOCHAM president, Sunil Kanoria.

“The Madrid office is the 25th international office of ASSOCHAM which now has presence in four cities across Europe, other offices being in England, Germany, France, and Netherlands,” said Kanoria said while stressing upon the immense potential for bilateral trade and commerce that exists between the two countries.

The ASSOCHAM Madrid chapter will be actively promoting, supporting and facilitating investors, entrepreneurs, and other leaders across the region,” added the ASSOCHAM chief.

The ASSOCHAM India-Spain Business Promotion Council will be headed by Sudipto Dasgupta, an ex-banker and current Partner of Strategic Karma in Spain and will run operations from Madrid.

“ASSOCHAM Madrid Chapter will remain truly effective, objective driven and focused on achieving real results within definitive timelines,” added Dasgupta. (ANI)
