Hyderabad: Condemning the lawyers attack on journalists on Patiala Court premises and police attack on senior journalist Pasham Yadagiri, the journalists demanded that the State and Union governments initiate stern action against those who attacked journalists in Patiala Court and at Medaram Jatara.
On Thursday, the Hyderabad Press Club organized a meeting and condemned the attack on journalists on a court premises. The speakers condemned the attack on journalists in Patiala Court and also at Medarama Jatara and demanded the the governments render justice. They also took out a protest procession. They made it clear that the journalists would extend their full support to Pasham Yadagiri till he gets justice.
IJU secretary-general D Amar, TUWJ advisor and “Mana Telangana” Telugu daily editor K Sreenivas Reddy, Press Council of India member K Amarnath, IJU executive member K Sathyanarayana, TUWJ general secretary K Virahat Ali, Press Club president R. Ravikanth Reddy, Club secretary Rajamouli Chary and several senior journalists attended the meeting and condemned the police brutality. (NSS)
