Australian team meets Jupally, willing to invest in State

An Australian delegation, led by Australian Consul-General to South India Sean Kelly

called on Telangana Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao in the Secretariat and discussed about the NSL Mining company which converts low grade iron ore to high grade. They Australians expressed keen interest to establish a Steel Industry in Telangana.

The Australian delegation comprising Natasha Morris, Vice-Consul, Peter Baldwin, Regional Director, South Asia, Government of Western Australia, Trade and Investment office, Ray Nico, Executive Director, State Government of Victoria, Australia, evinced keen interest in bringing investments from Australia to Telangana and appreciated the Industrial Policy of Government of Telangana State. They said Telangana has become a important destination and with s lot of opportunities for Companies to set up shop in Telangana.

They said they were looking into vocational Education, Mining, Environment, Infrastructure, Road safety & transportation, Technology and also in Startups. They said they want to promote Bio-Technology, Life Sciences and are already working with several Hyderabad-based companies. They also informed that The Australia Retail College would be interested to explore the possibility of starting and setting up Skill Development centers. They informed there were some 3000 Skill development centers in Australia and were keen to train in Telangana.

The Team also evinced keen interest and discussed the development of Pharma City. They informed that Australia was very strong in Infrastructure development and that would like to be involved on that front. They discussed about Sugar industry and informed that Australia is one of the most efficient producers of sugar in the world and was known for efficient produce and was keen to explore on the possibilities of knowledge sharing and partnership in this industry too.

Jupally Krishna Rao explained the State’s Industrial policy and welcomed investment in Telangana. He assured all possible support from the government to the Investors. He also welcomed the Australian Consul General to lead a delegation of investors and promote Telangana in Australia. He told the delegation that very soon the city would have multi-layered flyovers, signal-less traffic and why Telangana is the new hot favourite destination for investments given the good climate conditions, availability of skilled labour, Educational Hubs, Health care facilities and so on.

Malaysian water giant expresses interest

Malaysian Giant Spritzer BHD, is the largest bottled water producer in Malaysia represented by Kenny Lim Seng Lee, Group General Manager , Jo-Ann Chang met the Hon’ble Industries Minister along with a delegation and expressed interest in setting up their Project in Telangana.

They informed that they are in operations since 26 years spread over 330 acres. The purity of water comes from 420 feet underground sources, that their spritzer natural mineral water containing 35 mg/I of silicon with the ambience of Tropical rainforest and that it was untouched by hands from source to bottle, with no human contact. Their product range of natural mineral water and non/carbonated water with mineral water as base is bringing health-giving and wellness naturally. There are active in Hongkong, Papua New Guinea, Brunei, with their growing markets in Reunion Island, Singapore, Taiwan,and New Zealand and moving into new markets of Australia. They hoped that their interest in setting up plant in Telangana would become a reality very soon and they would be coming back with a delegation to study and explore all possibilities and identify land for the same.
