Avoid cow slaughter on Eid-ul-Azha: Darul Ifta to Muslims

Hyderabad:Leading Islamic seminary Darul Ifta Jamia Nizami has suggested to Muslims in the country that they avoid slaughtering cows on Eid-ul-Azha as a mark of respect to the religious beliefs of Hindus.

Eid al-Adha which is also known as Id-ul-Zuha (Bakr-Id) will be celebrated on September.

The Bombay High Court on Monday asked the Maharashtra police what preventive measures it proposes to take against cow vigilante groups ahead of Eid ul Adha (Bakr- Id).
