Hyderabad: Awaz Committee of Zaheerabad took out a rally from Tehsil Office which reached Revenue Division Office and was converted into a dharna program. General Secretary of Awaz Committee of Zaheerabad Town, Mr. Mohammed Arshad reminded the TRS that it did not fulfill the promise it had made in its election manifesto to provide 12% reservation to Muslims.
Even though three years’ time has elapsed, there is no action taken by TRS Govt. except passing the resolution in the Assembly and sending it to Central Govt. TRS Govt. should have exerted its pressure on the Central Govt. for its approval.
He also demanded that TRS Govt. should allocate sub-plan for Muslims on a par with SCs and STs so that Muslim minority could progress. He said that there is a need to release loans to unemployed Muslim youths from Minorities Finance Corporation.
