Ayushmann Khurrana spills beans on his ‘bully’ character in ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Ayushmann Khurrana, who has usually played “sweet boy” roles, has spilled the beans on his first-ever grey character that he will be portraying in the upcoming Bollywood flick ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi.’

While talking to the media, the 32-year-old actor said that in the film, he is playing the role of a Gujarati boy, who bullies people.

“I really liked the movie as it was written by Nitesh Tiwari sir, the person who also directed the super hit film ‘Dangal’,” said the ‘Vicky Donor’ star.

“This film is different for me because I’m playing a bully in the film. Until now, I have always played the role of a simple and sweet boy, but in this film, I’m patting on her head, bullying her and making her work,” he added.

The actor further said that as his character was different, he had to get out of his natural character and portray someone who is not him.

While talking about his experience of working with Rajkummar Rao, the ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ star praised him and said that it’s always great to work with good actors as there is “spark” in every good actor.

Ayushmann stated that the movie is shot in Uttar Pradesh and was one of an easiest films to work on.

On the work front, the ‘Bewakoofiyaan’ star is currently working for Sriram Raghavan’s yet-untitled thriller movie.

‘Bareilly Ki Barfi,’ which is a romantic comedy that revolves around two men vying for one woman’s attention, also stars Kriti Sanon and is all set to hit the theatres on August 18. (ANI)
