Bachchans, Salman Khan invited for Chiranjeevi’s birthday

Mumbai: South superstar-turned-politician Chiranjeevi would be turning 60 tomorrow and big names like Rajnikanth and many Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and his family are invited for the bash.

The function will be held at a five-star hotel in Hyderabad.

The biggest names of south and Bollywood are coming together to be a part of Chiranjeevi’s 60th birthday and to celebrate his 35 years in Indian film industry, a press release issued here stated.

Rajnikanth, the Bachchan family, Salman Khan and his family, Tabu, Sridhar, Boney Kapoor and a host of other celebrities have been invited for the function.

Abhishek Bachchan, along with his mother Jaya Bachchan, is likely to be present at the party which is also likely to be attended by Salman Khan and his family members.

Ram Charan, the superstar’s son is personally looking after all the arrangements, including the decor, guest list, entertainment and food, sources said.

The menu has Chiranjeevi’s favourite dishes, one of which is the Chiranjeevi Dosa. A bespoke dosa, from his very home.

“They are planning to patent the dosa and have restaurants in the same name,” a spokesperson said.

Chiranjeevi is not only a film actor but also a producer, singer, voice artist, politician, businessman, investor and a member of the Indian National Congress.

He has acted in 149 films and featured primarily in Telugu cinema, in addition to Tamil, Kannada and Hindi films.

He made his acting debut in 1978, with the film “Punadhirallu”. However, “Pranam Khareedu” was released earlier at the box office.

In 2006, Chiranjeevi was honoured with the Padma Bhushan, the third highest civilian award, for his contributions to Indian cinema.
