‘Bajrang Dal’ Gundagardi: ‘Gau Rakshaks’ thrashed two at Bhubaneswar Station

Bhubaneswar: Around 20 cows were being transported in the parcel bogie of Kochuveli-Guwahati super-fast express when the activists of Bajrang Dal, Hinduraksha Sangathan and People for Animal thrashed two persons and detained them for illegally transporting cows from Bhubaneswar railway station on Wednesday night.
According to reports, cattle in two parcel vans were booked from Salem to Guwahati by a Noida-based dairy farm.
Ramesh Shah and Vimal Kumar were accompanying the cattle. They along with the veterinarian were dragged and thrashed by the self proclaimed ‘Gau Rakshaks’.
The station manager and train driver were also beaten up as they tried to rescue the transporters.
The beaten employees have been admitted to a private hospital.
Bajrang Dal activists alleged the cows were transported for slaughtering and Animal Welfare Board alleged hands of railway officials behind such unlawful act.
