New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday said that Delhi Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi has assured the party of a fair investigation and speedy action into the Dilip Pandey issue, wherein the leader claimed to have had a narrow escape when a police vehicle tried to run him over.
AAP leaders met Bassi today and submitted a video footage in connection with the matter.
” Dilip Pandeyji shared detailed information about yesterday’s incident with Police Commissioner BS Bassi. The video footage regarding the incident was shown as well as submitted in form of a CD to him. Delhi Police Commissioner has assured us of a fair investigation and speedy action into the matter. We’ve put forth all facts before Police Commissioner and the media; nothing would be more unfortunate, if still no action will be taken,” said AAP leader Sanjay Singh.
Pandey, who has lodged an FIR in this regard, has said that he was saved by an AAP volunteer who pushed him out of the vehicle’s way.
“As I was leaving police station, right outside the police station a police vehicle tried to run me over,” Pandey told ANI.
“This was really disturbing. We have lodged a complaint with the police and we will follow it up,” he added. (ANI)
