No admission in Intermediate without Aadhaar

Hyderabad: After Centre expressed it to Supreme Court that citizens do not have rights over their bodies and cant refuse to Adhaar being mandatory for Indian citizens, Board of Intermediate has made it official by making Adhaar compulsory for admission into Intermediate starting from this year.

The Board of Intermediate made it official this Tuesday in a press released saying, “We are informing the students in advance so that they can keep the document ready.Those who do not have will also get time to get the card. We don’t want any student to face trouble during admission,” said Krupakar Reddy, an official from BIE.

Krupakar also said adhaar will be mandatory for admission in all categories of aided, unaided private junior colleges, social welfare, BC welfare, tribal welfare, residential colleges, government junior colleges and Model Schools.

BIE would issue notification for admission into Intermediate once the results are announced, as reported in the Indian Express.
