Bihar Polls: LJP candidate Vijay Kumar shot at in Jamui, escapes unhurt

Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) candidate Vijay Kumar escaped unhurt after some unidentified persons fired at him today in poll-bound Jamui District of Bihar.

The police have detained one person in connection with the incident. Meanwhile, four people were injured when the NDA and grand alliance workers clashed near booth number 156 in Jamui.

According to reports, over 40 percent polling was recorded till 12: 30 pm during the first phase of assembly elections in Bihar. Polling for the first phase of the five-phase assembly elections began today amid tight security in 49 constituencies spread over 10 districts.
