Hyderabad: In the early hours of 28th February, Central Zone Police conducted a special operation against ‘Bike Racing’ at Necklace Road and detained as many as 70 youth including 51 minors for their participation in performing dangerous stunts and causing trouble to others.
According to ACP Saifabad, three Inspectors, 10 SIs, 4 ASIs, 15 HCs 120 PCs participated in the special drive and seized 102 bikes. Out of the 102 bikes involved in the race, 51 bikes were driven by minor, 31 motorcyclists found to be without valid documents and they were seized.
Parents and the minor were taken to the station and counseled.
Police is making strenuous efforts to make Necklace Road, NTR Marg and Tankbund areas safe and secure for the Tourists, morning walkers and road users from bike racing menace.
