Bike riders’ ultimatum to Traffic, GHMC officials

Hyderabad: Telangana Two-Wheeler Riders Association has warned the State government that if the Traffic Police and GHMC officials failed to get the speed breakers painted with Zebra marks by the end of March, the association members would launch a novel protest to obliterate the white road markings with black paint from April 1 starting from the State Assembly.
Association convenor Mohd Amanullah Khan, in a pressnote said the proposed protest to obliterate the white road markings with black paint against non-painting of speed breakers in the GHMC area has been postponed as they have decided to give some more time to the Traffic police and GHMC authorities to get speed breakers painted with Zebra marks. He also alleged that due to the criminal negligence of the traffic police and GHMC authorities in not painting the speed breakers with Zebra marks, many accidents were taking place, particularly during nights.
