Bizarre: Engineering student wants to marry his girlfriend, seeks PM Modi’s help

New Delhi: In a surprise incident, a mechanical engineering student from Chandigarh has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to help him get married to his girlfriend, who works as a nurse.

According to the news published in TOI, he has requested the Prime Minster to send a volunteer to Chandigarh to convince parents.

It is just one of many such frivolous requests from Chandigarh that are sent to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) through the Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System every day.

However, this was not the first time when people had sought help from the ministers for their personal problems. Earlier, a twitter user sought help from External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj for his “defective refrigerator”. He tweeted, “@irvpaswan @SushmaSwaraj Dear Ministers, @Samsung_IN sold me a defective refrigerator, they r not ready to replace”.

Replying to his tweet, Sushma Swaraj wrote, “Brother I cannot help you in matters of a Refrigerator. I am very busy with human beings in distress”.
