BJP condemns ink attack on Sudheendra Kulkarni

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sudesh Verma on Monday condemned the ink attack on ORF chairman Sudheendra Kulkarni and said that one should not be so intolerant.

“We condemn this act. We should not be so intolerant. But we also need to see if it was official Shiv Sena’s line or whether the Shiv Sena distances itself from this act of vandalism,” he said.

Kulkarni, who was attacked with ink hours before the book launch of former Pakistan foreign minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri, has said that the event would take place despite ‘typical’ threats from the Shiv Sena.

The Shiv Sena has been vehemently protesting against the launch of Kasuri’s book ‘Neither a Hawk nor a Dove: An Insider’s Account of Pakistan’s Foreign Policy’, saying it was an insult to the Indian soldiers who had died in the recent ceasefire violations by Pakistan.

The Shiv Sena has warned that there would be ‘repercussions’ if the event is not cancelled. (ANI
