BJP condemns postponement of GHMC meeting

The Bharatiya Janata Party has strongly condemned the postponement of meeting of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, which was scheduled to be held on Thursday.

Speaking to media persons, BJP Corporator Shankar Yadav said this was his third term as Corporator and he had never seen such a situation when the corporation’s meeting was postponed due to the want of quorum. He said instead of holding the meeting to discuss issues like Summer Action Plan and shortage of drinking water in twin cities, TRS and MIM were indulging politics over election of co-option members.

Shankar Yadav accused both the parties of concentrating more on politics than public issues.

Another ex-officio member of TRS, who wished to remain anonymous, condemned the development and said such situations would damage the reputation of ruling party among people. (INN)
