BJP corner Kejriwal, accuses ‘stubborn’ AAP of politicizing its mistakes

New Delhi : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday alleged that indulging in illegal activities, misbehaving with the people and intimidating them has become a daily routine of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which is presently intoxicated with power.
BJP leader Harish Khurana, who was commenting on the complaint lodged against Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia by East Delhi’s Ghazipur vegetable market association president Surender Goswami, said the allegation is a clear indication of the fact that the stubborn AAP doesn’t care about anyone else.

“Moreover, they politicize their mistakes and try to portray themselves as the victims,” said Khurana, adding such an attitude is not good for the welfare of Delhi.

“If they are not interested in ruling properly then they should step down. If this situation continues for a long time then President’s Rule may be imposed in Delhi soon,” he added.

Another BJP leader Vijender Gupta echoing similar sentiments said Sisodia should have apologized to the businessmen for his attitude instead of indulging in all this drama.

“Similarly in Dinesh Mohaniya’s case, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should have apologized to the victims rather than indulging in nonsense tweets,” he added.

Goswami has in his complaint said that Sisodia’s behaviour was “dictatorial” towards him and the other traders.

Meanwhile, Sisodia and a group of AAP MLAs, who were on their way to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official 7, Race Course Road (RCR) here have detained by the Delhi Police.

Sisodia earlier accused the ruling dispensation at the Centre of interfering in the AAP Government’s good work and offered to surrender before Prime Minister Modi.

“We want to tell the Prime Minister that don’t stop the work in Delhi. Why are you taking revenge on Delhi? You have enmity with me so arrest me. All the MLAs are going there.

Sisodia said that he visited the Ghazipur vegetable market yesterday for a surprise inspection during which he found out that some people were indulging in illegal activities.

“I scolded them and warned to take action against them. They are saying that I misbehaved with them. Of course, I misbehaved. If any officer is not working properly, we will scold them. If we are being sent to jail for these, we are surrendering but don’t stop the work in Delhi,” he said.

Earlier in the day, Kejriwal continued his tirade against the BJP-led NDA regime and said Sisodia would surrender himself before the Prime Minister.

“Complaint filed against Manish Sisodia yesterday. Manish will go to 7, RCR today to surrender himself before PM,” he tweeted in his latest outburst against Prime Minister Modi following the arrest of Sangam Vihar MLA Dinesh Mohaniya a day earlier.

Mohaniya was arrested by the Delhi Police for allegedly misbehaving with a group of women, who had gone to him to complain about a water crisis.

Mohaniya, who is also the vice-chairman of Delhi Jal Board, was picked up by a police team while he was addressing a press conference yesterday at his office in Khanpur.

A Delhi Court yesterday rejected his bail petition and sent him to judicial custody till Monday. (ANI)
