BJP leader Raees Ahmed shot thrice in Bareilly district, condition critical

BAREILLY: Raees Ahmed, the vice-president of BJP’s Bareilly region minority wing was shot at by unidentified persons on Thursday evening.

According to Hindustan Times, the attackers targeted Ahmed in Deochara area at around 7 pm when he was returning home on a motorcycle.
The miscreants fired thrice at stomach, hand and the third shot targeted his leg.

On receiving the information of the incident, the Bhamora police station personnel reached the spot and admitted Ahmed to a private hospital in serious condition.

“Raees Ahmed was shot around 7pm. He was apparently returning home on a motorcycle when the attack took place,” said superintendent of police (rural) Khyati Garg to HT. “We don’t know much about the attackers or possible motive yet.”
