The BJP on Wednesday staged a sit -in at the district Collectorate here to protest against the alleged indifferent attitude of the state government towards the problems of the farmers.
A large number of BJP supporters under the leadership of party state unit chief K Laxman gathered in front of the Collectorate and raised anti-government slogans. Speaking on the occasion, BJP chief Laxman lashed out at the TRS government saying that if failed in providing relief to the farmers suffering huge losses.
Even as the protest was on, some party workers tried to barge in to the Collectorate building but their attempt foiled by the police. The police later bundled the BJP workers in the police vehicles and shifted them to the Police Station. (INN)
