Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) : Cocking a snook at the ruling Samajwadi Party and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA R.S. Bhadauria on Saturday set aside convention to inaugurate a railway overbridge in Kanpur.
The railway overbridge is located in the Khapra Mohal area of the city.
Bhaduaria claimed the overbridge belonged to the people of Kanpur and it cannot wait for the chief minister to get inaugurated.
He said the Samajwadi Party alone had not built the overbridge and added that the central funds were also used.
The overbridge was constructed two and a half months back and was to be first inaugurated by cabinet minister Shivpal Singh Yadav. It was to be inaugurated by the Chief Minister on January 26 but could not take place. (ANI)
