Hyderabad: Leader of opposition in Telangana Legislative Council, Mohammed Ali Shabbir said that BJP is ignoring Maulana Abul Kalam Azad who gave tough fight to Britishers and is presenting Veer Savarkar who had begged the British for mercy as a hero. He was addressing function held on the occasion of the 128th birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kamal Azad, here at Prakasham Hall, Gandhi Bhawan by Telangana Pradesh Congress Minority Department.
Ex-minister Sarve Satya Narayana, ex-MP M Anjan Kumar Yadav, General Secretary Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee SK Afzaluddin, Syed Azmatullah Husaini, Uzma Shakir spokesperson Syed Nizamuddin, president Greater Hyderabad Congress Minority Department Shaikh Abdullah Suhail, ex-Corporator Mohammed Wajid Husain, former Secretary Javeed Ahmed, Khaja Ghyasuddin , Aijaz Khan and other leaders were present on the occasion.
Congress leaders paid rich tributes to the first Education Minister of India Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. Mr. Anjan Kumar Yadav declared Maulana Azad as a role model for young generation. He alleged that BJP was playing politics of religion and advised the youth not to get provoked from the inflammatory speeches of the BJP leaders.
