BJP, RSS promoting, propagating intolerance: Congress

New Delhi: The Congress on Tuesday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of promoting, propagating and preserving the culture of intolerance in the country.

“Arun Jaitley ji must know that it is Shri Narendra Modi and his government including Shri Jaitley, BJP and RSS and their manifestations who are promoting, propagating and preserving the culture of intolerance as also the politics of hate communal polarisation and division in this country. It is, therefore, that 125 crore people of India are worried at this systematic attack on the core of India’s ethos,” said Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala.

Commenting on the Congress’ proposed march to the Rashtrapati Bhawan to highlight the ‘growing intolerance’ in the country, Surjewala said that it was a reminder for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to follow the ‘raj dharma’.
