BJP to step up stir against TRS Govt’s ‘anti-people’ policies

Hyderabad: Opposition BJP has decided to intensify its protests against the “anti-people” policies and “failures” of the TRS Government in Telangana, state party chief K Laxman said today.

Briefing the media on the BJP’s office-bearers meeting held yesterday, Laxman said the party resolved to strengthen the organisation from booth-level.

Alleging that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was “not bothered about providing good governance”, Laxman said the BJP would intensify its protests on issues related to farmers, housing for the poor and students’ tuition fees reimbursement dues.

He also demanded that the state government conduct the winter session of Assembly for 15 days to discuss people’s issues.

Laxman hit out at the Congress for “attempting to politicise the surgical strikes” conducted by the Army against terror launch pads across the LoC.

Referring to certain reported comments of Congress leader Digvijay Singh, he said the AICC General Secretary should realise that action against terrorists was a combination of political will and the Army’s valour.

“Congress should not behave in a manner that demoralises the soldiers,” he said.
