BJP will enter agitation mode soon: Lakshman

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP newly appointed president Dr. K. Lakshman said that his party would soon launch massive agitation against the failures of TRS Government in the State.

Speaking to INN on Saturday evening, Lakshman said that the BJP has a major role to play in Telangana as the main opposition Congress has lost the confidence of people. He said while the TRS Government has failed to perform during the last 22 months, the Congress party has failed to build pressure as the main opposition. Therefore, the BJP would try to fill the void by strengthening the organisation at the grass root level.

Lakshman said that the BJP was silent so far as it wanted to give TRS Government some time to develop the new State of Telangana. However, he said that the TRS Government has not only failed to fulfill the promises, but also failed to initiate implementation on any of the promise that it made with the people during election.

The BJP chief said that the party would make efforts to bring minorities closer. He said he would hold interactions with different sections of minorities, especially intellectuals to bring them closer to BJP.

When asked about controversy surrounding Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh, Lakshman said that it was party’s internal matter and would be resolved soon. However, he claimed that Raja Singh did not cause any damage to the party. (INN)
