BJP’s dig at Digvijay Singh

New Delhi: BJP today took a swipe at Digvijay Singh for his remarks expressing readiness to work with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to keep BJP out, saying it only shows that Congress was a sinking ship and looking for crutches to survive.

The party said if anybody has to be worried about such an alliance, then it should be Congress as it will bring its vice president Rahul Gandhi’s future into “question”.

“Congress is a sinking ship. It needs crutches. It has been shrinking under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi. Digvijay Singh is concerned about his future so he made the suggestion.

But what will happen to Rahul Gandhi’s future? Congress should be concerned about it,” its national Secretary Shrikant Sharma said..

Only 11 per cent of the nation’s population is under Congress governments, he said, adding that it will fall to four per cent after it “loses” in Assam and Kerala, two states facing assembly polls.
