Panaji: The new president of BJP’s Goa unit will be elected on January 16.
“The election for the post of BJP’s Goa unit president would be held on January 16 while the district presidents would be elected on January 14 and 15,” party MP Narendra Sawaikar told reporters.
Elections for the constituency-level committees were in progress in the state and 30 out of 40 constituencies had so far elected their chiefs, he said.
BJP sources said the current state BJP chief Vinay Tendulkar is likely to be reelected.
