Bareilly: Post landslide victory of BJP in Uttar Pradesh, the Muslims in the state are exactly going through the same situation what the American Muslims are suffering after President Donald Trump held the office.
According to Times of India, dozens of posters composed in Hindi were emerged at Jiangla, a village about 70 km from Bareilly asking the Muslims residents to leave the village immediately as BJP came to power, the people of the village will do the same with the Muslims what the US president Donald Trump did with Muslim-dominated countries.
Posted at different places in the village, the poster read, “with BJP in power in Uttar Pradesh Hindus of the village would do what US president Trump was doing to Muslims in that country”.
In the poster, the Muslims were threaten with “dire consequences” if they fail to follow the deadline and won’t vacate the village by the end of this year.
Signed by “Hindus of the village” under “guardian” is the name of a BJP MP, on behalf of which the poster has been issued.
After the matter came to light, the police and the district administration removed posters to prevent any untoward situation.
The village’s head Rewa Ram said till late Sunday night, there were no posters but could find it on Monday morning and so immediately informed the police.
“We slept a little past midnight, and it was only in the morning that we noticed all these posters around the village. We informed police after some residents objected to it,” Gram Pradhan Rewa Ram told TOI.
The police have registered a case against unknown people and 5 boys of the village have been detained for interrogation. Similarly, police force has been deployed in the area where 200 Muslims live together with 2,500 other residents.
