BJYM demands ban on Naik’s social media accounts

New Delhi:Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) today lodged a police complaint here against controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik alleging that the televangelist propagates hatred through his social media accounts and demanded they should be banned.

In the complaint, the national media convener of BJYM Shivam Chabra, mentioned excerpts from Naik’s speeches in PeaceTV and alleged that he advocates ISIS.

They urged DCP (South) that the Islamic preacher’s social media accounts be banned, BJYM said in a statement.

Earlier, the BJP youth wing had lodged a complaint against JNU student Umar Khalid, who was one of the three persons arrested in connection with the sedition case registered over the controversial February 9 event at the varsity’s campus, alleging that he was indulging in anti-national act by glorifying slain Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani.
