Commissioner’s Task Force South Zone team apprehended 4 persons for selling Public Distribution System (PDS) commodities in black market. They seized large amount of rice and other commodities from their possession.
According to sources, task force and vigilance teams of Civil Supplies Department arrested P Vinesh alias Vicky of Ziaguda, Mohammed Amer of Talab Katta Bhavani Nagar, N Srinivas Rao of Shadnagar Chetanpally and R Chandrasekhar, a ration shop dealer, and seized 100 quintal rice, 2 quintal wheat and other items and handed over to Kulsoompura police station.
Chandrasekhar was purchasing the rice at Rs. 7 per kg and selling it @ Rs. 15 per kg to poultry farms and other kirana shops.
