BlackBerry to unveil two Android smartphones in 2016

New Delhi: One of the major smartphone sellers in the world, Blackberry would be unveiling two new smartphones this year.

The CEO of Blackberry John Chen confirmed about the upcoming smartphones in an interview with Abu Dhabi’s The National, the Verge reported.

One of the smartphone is expected to have a physical keyboard, and another one would come up with a full touchscreen.

The smartphones are expected to cost around USD 500.

Blackberry was considered one of the major smartphone vendors in the world, specialising in secure communications and mobile productivity. As of September 2013, there were 85 million BlackBerry subscribers worldwide. That number has dropped steadily, down to 46 million in September 2014.

Starting in November 2013, BlackBerry Messenger could be run on multiple platforms including Android, iOS and Windows Phone and of course including their own software, and up to June 2015 got 260 million new users. (ANI)
