A town planning officer in the GHMC was placed under suspension in connection with the collapse of a five-storied building at Lodha basti in Nanakramguda.
It may be mentioned here that 11 persons died when the building collapsed and several injured on Thursday. GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy issued suspension orders stating that P Madhu, DM grade-III, circle No. 11 failed to stop the unauthorized construction of building consisting of stilt+5 upper floors and pent house owned by Satyanarayana Singh without obtaining permission and without leaving proper setbacks in the plot area.
