‘Blue Whale’ challenging its players to commit suicide

New Delhi: Online games have completely taken over the world nowadays, addicting the mankind in its own way. Yet another online game ‘Blue Whale’ is challenging children to commit suicide at its final level.

We have seen children addicted to games like Candy Crush to Pokemon G, with more games like Counter Strike and Need For Speed among teenage groups.

The new online gaming challenge ‘Blue Whale’ has a total 50 challenges for its players with the last final challenge is committing suicide .

Shockingly 100 teenagers from Russia have reportedly lost their life’s playing the last level of the game.

Khaleej Times reported that a WhatsApp alert has been doing the rounds which reads: “Any parents out there or anyone that knows of any kids playing an online game called ‘Blue Whale’, please get your kids off this game. It sets them 50 challenges and the last one is to commit suicide.”

Many schools have been warned about the game due to multiple deaths linked to the game in Uk.

Games rather than being a stress buster have now turned into nightmares, with online games developed challenging its players to risk their life’s in various ways and also asking its users to send them evidence of the completed challenge.

Some of these games once installed can not be uninstalled like the other apps. The application hacks the data of the user’s phone and accesses all data.

But, this is not the first time such a dangerous game has made news.

In 2015, a game named ‘Charlie Charlie Challenge’ went viral which set out to get kids into the contact of spirits and supernatural elements, as reported in Indian Express.
