Boyfriend kidnapped class XI girl and auctioned her for Rs. 70,000

Rampur: Mahesh Prasad, Patwai Police Station House Office informed that a student of class XI was kidnapped from her village and sold out for Rs. 70, 000 at an auction by her boyfriend. The girl was later recovered.

Talking to media, he said that three kidnappers from Badaun district, kidnapped the girl and kept her in a village for four days before auctioning her for Rs. 70,000. On the reports of some of the residents the police raided the house of a former village Chief and recovered the girl from his house.

Superintendent of Police of Sambhal District, Mr. Atul Saxena told that soon after received the information, police was sent to the village and recovered the girl. However, the accused managed to escape from the village. Police registered an FIR.

Mr. Tariq Mohammed, Additional SP of Rampur District told that orders have been issued to arrest the accused. The girl is likely to be produced before the magistrate to enable her to record her statement.
