Hoodwinking the cops will now be thing of the past as Hyderabad police is obtaining modern technology for crime detection. The city police are learnt to have placed purchase orders for modern gadgets including ‘brain fingerprinting technology’ that will help in crime detection.
Though brain fingerprinting is similar to polygraph test, the system assures results with over 99% accuracy, revealing to law enforcement agencies whether a suspect has knowledge about a particular incident or subject. It analyses the brain waves and records the reaction of the suspect when he is exposed to an information or a picture. It works on the fact that a criminal can lie, his brain cannot.
It is learnt that police staff is being provided special training to use such technologies.
