Ranchi: This eleven year old Maalti Tudu hailed as brave heart who despite unavailability of any mode of transport and medical facilities in the vicinity carries her 7 year old younger brother on her shoulders for treatment.
Her brother who was diagnosed with brain malaria was referred to the Sadar hospital in Godda village which was 8 kms away from her residence.
Setting an exemplary show of love and concern towards her sibling, the courageous child attracts the attention of medical facilities.
According to media reports, hearing her story, social workers and other people heeded the cries of the exhausted orphan and immediately took action.
“I saw the girl crying at the hospital and took her to the doctor. After the treatment, we sent her back by ambulance,” a social worker Manoj Bhagat was quoted as saying to CNN-IBN.
Malti lives with her two brothers and grandmother in Chandana village in Jharkhand.
“I don’t have parents; my grandmother takes care of us. My brother was unwell,” Maalti said.
