Bring Education Institutions under one umbrella: KCR

Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao today decided to bring under one umbrella all the education departments, wings, study circles and others.
At a review meeting on budget for 2016-17 here, the Chief Minister expressed concern on the schools, colleges and study circles working under various departments. He directed the deputy chief Minister Kadiam Srihari who also holds education portfolio to come up with proper plan for next academic year to bring all such institutions under one platform except medical, agriculture and pharma sectors. KCR asked the officials to prepare a plan to ensure that the students coming out of the institutions are in a position to get jobs of their choice. He asked the education wing to have complete data of high level jobs in various sectors nationwide and guide the students. There is no need of confining to just UPSC or TSPSC level jobs, but explore opportunities in other departments and push the students to get jobs, KCR said. He also asked them to shift focus on key sectors offering jobs like IT, Defense, Railways, Banking, space, science, research and others. (NSS)
