Brussels : Another attack , another round of focus on “Islamists” without focus on the role of West

Isn’t it intriguing why most of the persons behind the recent terrorist attacks are new converted “Muslims” of European origin? How come their mission after converting to Islam became: to go to Syria and create ISIS to eliminate Bashar al Assad and “to establish Caliphate”! Does it not prove the role of West in the creation of ISIS and the use of their own trained fighters for eliminating Assad and destroying Islamic countries? Does it not show that the conversion to Islam was nothing but a strategy to save their own face’ asks Dr Javed Jamil,

Every few months, a terrorist attack occurs somewhere in the West, and the international media gets a story to be discussed for weeks. The focus is not only the actual event but also its repercussions, with every report trying to arouse the sentiments of the watchers. The focus again shifts on “radicalisation” of Islam and the “destructive” role of “Islamists”. In between these attacks separated by several months, every single day without exception, much greater number of people die in a Syria or an Iraq. But the international media hardly covers anyone of them unless the Western interests warrant it. Almost never, the media tries to show the pains of the relatives of the dead. Memorials are either not organised for those victims or do not deserve to be covered by the international media.

Violence to the West is worth condemnation only if it is by others against them. In the opposite case, even if the magnitude of the violence is several hundred times, the condemnation would never follow. Instead the attempts will be made to justify these killings. Western killers are not to be condemned whatever the circumstances; only “Islamist terrorists” are to be condemned and uprooted. The number of the innocent Western victims of the terrorist attacks in last two decades does not cross even 7000 mark; the number of innocent Muslims killed by West is no less than 3.5 million. And yet, all the condemnation is reserved only for the “terrorists” and not the MASS KILLERS. The ways are found out to eliminate terrorism and not the MASS KILLING.

Does it not show that the conversion to Islam was nothing but a strategy to save their own face? Once the war in Syria took the reverse turn, these agents returned home, and out of frustration and anger at what happened to them, they started attacking their own countries.

The greatest truth of the modern times is that it is almost the total radicalization of West and Westernism rather than that of Islam which has become the biggest foe of peace in every dimension of individual and organized human existence in recent times.

Radicalisation of West is visible in every single institution, every single practice and every single war or civil war the world has been witnessing in the last century. West believes that its set of political, social and economic ideologies, what I call Westernism, is the only correct ideology for the world, and it alone has the right to define various concepts and parameters, and it alone has the right to endeavour through all possible ways, for the propagation and implementation of its ideology. Of course, they have made the world believe, even against their inner beliefs, that religion, individually or collectively, has no role to play in the modern “civilized” world. If the proponents of any other ideology, religious or non-religious, challenge the concepts of Westernism and try to prove the superiority of their ideas, they are described as “uncivilized”, “radicalized” and “extremist” forces.

The most notable form of radicalization of West is its theory of violence and its involvement in violent conflicts. It is working on a well-planned categorization of violence to suit its political and economic ends. Instead of reacting on the basis of the magnitude of violence, its reaction is based on the political considerations. Any violence, which is linked or can be made to appear linked to religion, especially Islam, is worthy of highest condemnation, but any violence, which is related to the effects of West’s ideological or political positions is either not talked about or becomes “collateral damage”.

In recent years, Western role has been prominently there in all the conflicts in the Middle East. But again, it can be seen that their weapons go to the side, which toes their lines, and against those which have refused to surrender to their diktats. And always, the media would blame the loss of lives on the forces that are not pro-West.

It is clear that radical Western ideologies and radical Western powers have disturbed the whole equilibrium and harmony in society. They first commercialise problems and then they commercialise solutions. And they think they alone have the right to invade and bombard countries, they alone have the right to decide all the major policies of the world; they alone have the right to decide the course the countries want to pursue and they alone have the right to teach lessons to others. West thinks that West alone knows what is best; and West alone knows how to act or react. What else can be a more extreme form of radicalization? All others forms of Radicalization in the current world including “Radical” Islam are the product, direct or indirect, of Western radicalism. If the world is to be saved from chaos and devastation, the only solution is to abandon all forms of radicalization. And before asking others, West being the leader will have to abandon it, not in parts but in totality. Others will automatically fall in line. De-radicalisation of West is more important than de-radicalisation of Muslims.

If the violence has to be uprooted including terrorism, we will have to confront every category of violence and we will have to condemn every single act of violence irrespective of the identity of the killer, the identity of the killed, the declared or undeclared ideology, religious or non-religious, or motive associated, irrespective of the type and irrespective of the time and place. If West truly wants to fight terrorism, it will have to first focus on its own role in the rise of terrorism, its role in wars against and civil wars in Muslim countries.

Let the MASS KILLERS apologies to the Muslim work and seek friendship rather than hostility with them. Let them adopt a policy of TOTAL DISENGAGEMENT from the Muslim World, which alone will lead to a lasting peace.
