Budget for minorities and BCs to be released by March 31

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao vowed to release the sanctioned amount for minorities, SC, ST, BC, by March 31 at any cost. Issue of paltry spending of allocations intended for self-employment of SC, ST, BC and minority sections through respective corporations rocked the assembly on Wednesday.

Congress legislators Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Ch. Vamshichand Reddy questioned the paltry spending and the failure of the government to fully ground even the sanctioned projects. Responding to the question Mr. Rajender reeled out year-wise releases. He claimed that the TRS government was more committed to the welfare of the underprivileged sections than the previous governments. R. Krishnaiah from TDP and BJP’s G. Kishan Reddy too protested the meagre allocations and the projects not being grounded.

On the occasion Chief Minister Mr. K Chandrasekhar Rao came to his rescue and promised that the government will release the pending amount by March 31.
